About Mei

Holistic Healing Professional

Hello, I’m Mei — an integrative health practitioner with over 28 years of international clinical experience, offering personalised care that bridges Eastern and Western medicine to support healing, recovery, and long-term wellbeing.

My healthcare journey began in nursing at Xiangya Hospital, where I developed a strong foundation in Western medicine and clinical care. Over time, this evolved into a deeper calling toward integrative medicine, leading me to study acupuncture, natural medicine, and European lymphatic therapies, shaping the holistic approach I offer today.

Qualifications & Clinical Training

  • Bachelor of Health Science in Acupuncture

  • Nursing Background with Clinical Experience

  • Certified Dr Vodder Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapist

  • Qualified Lymphedema Therapist

  • Accredited Metagenics Natural Medicine Practitioner

Since 2008, I have developed a special clinical interest in post-surgical recovery, combining Manual Lymphatic Drainage, acupuncture, and natural medicine to support swelling reduction, tissue healing, and optimal recovery. I am grateful to receive surgeon referrals for this specialised work.

Part of what inspires me in this work is seeing how gentle, thoughtful support can make a meaningful difference in someone’s healing journey. Supporting patients through vulnerable times — helping them feel more comfortable, balanced, and cared for — has become one of the most rewarding parts of my practice.

Alongside post-surgery care, I have a special interest in supporting patients with:

  • Digestive health and internal organ function

  • Lymphatic health and lymphedema support

  • Hay fever, sinus congestion, and immune balance

  • Women’s health and chronic health concerns

  • Preventative care and restoring vitality

My Philosophy

I believe healing is most effective when body and mind are supported together. My approach is holistic, open-minded, and non-judgmental, with deep respect for many healing traditions and a passion for continual learning.

Drawing on both traditional wisdom and contemporary clinical understanding, I tailor treatments to each person, focusing not only on symptoms but also the underlying patterns contributing to imbalance.

My work is guided by a strong interest in disease prevention, helping patients move beyond symptom management toward lasting wellbeing.

Whether you are recovering from surgery, seeking support for digestion, sinus concerns, lymphatic health, or simply looking for a health reset, I aim to offer thoughtful, individualised care in a calm and supportive environment.

Outside the Clinic

Outside of work, I find balance and joy in the simple things that nourish wellbeing. I love history and travel, have a special love for animals — especially cats — and enjoy listening to music and podcasts, practicing yoga, Pilates and tai chi, hiking, and Body Balance. I also value receiving regular Manual Lymphatic Drainage, massage, acupuncture, and osteopathic or chiropractic care as part of my own wellbeing, and believe practitioners also benefit from caring for themselves. These personal wellness practices help keep me grounded and continue to inspire the same sense of harmony, vitality, and balance that I hope to bring to my patients.

Supporting healing naturally, with experience, compassion, and an integrative approach.
